Old Hat, No Mask

1920's St. Valentine's, Potluck Costume Party

Saturday the 18th of February 2012 at 7pm to 12am

We invite you and your Valentine or a friend or two or three to join us as we Celebrate the past! Come at anytime and stay as long as you want, Just would love to see you all!

During the roaring '20's Farnam Manor was owned by Ella Mayor, the widow of the Akron Police Chief. She operated an elegant speak easy during the '20's and '30's prohibition era for the police. We will be time traveling and experiencing the 1920's era, so try to dress '20's style. Or just wear a cool hat or goofy outfit. That's only if you want to have the most fun ever. You should have something old in your closet or attic or basement or garage or car. Also, make sure you wear comfortable dancing shoes, because we will be dancing till the cows come home.

We're planning an old style potluck dinner. Food will be out all night long. Or until it's all gone. So, come anytime and stay as long as you want. But, we warn you that once you're here you'll never want to leave.

But, where's the beef?
Don't worry, we got that covered. Large pot of Roast Beast will be provided. We'll eat high off the hog with a pot of roast pork, too. Anyone planning to attend and/or staying for more than a minute, It sure would be nice if you could bring a side dish or desert or just some bread and water or something like that. It would be totally appreciated.

What about the drinks?
We'll have punch (some with high energy spirits and some without) and coffee. BYOB For any other drinks you might want to consume.

What about the tunes?
The tunes will start about sevenish. You'll be entertained with a musical journey starting with the 20's. You can mingle and reminisce with friends about the past. Or dance like no ones watching you, it's up to you. For everyone else we'll be playing some old school cards and board games.

Please RSVP .....Thanks!
